Set amidst the scenic splendor of Lough Leane and the Macgillycuddy Reeks are Killarney's three spectacular 18 hole championship golf courses: Killeen, Mahony's Point and Lackabane, which attracts golfers from all corners of the world. Killarney's provided the setting for such prestigious events as the Irish Open in 1991 and 1992, the Curtis Cup in 1996 and more recently the Ladies Irish Open in 2002 and 2003. One thing is for certain, you are unlikely to forget this magical place and the warm welcome and hospitality extended to our visitors.
Killeen Course
The flagship of our three courses, Killeen is truly one of the greatest courses in the country. At 7100 yards it will certainly challenge the longest of hitters and with water on almost every hole accuracy is essential.
Mahony's Point
This superb course, situated beside the famous Lakes of Killarney, is a good test for golfers of all skill levels. At 6780 yards it is the shortest of our three courses, but with a combination of well undulated greens, well positioned bunkers and water hazards, wayward shots will often find big trouble.
Lackabane
The latest addition to Killarney Golf Club, Lackabane, is still in its infancy but is already proving to be quite a challenge. At 7050 yards it is of championship standards. The design is fantastic, with lakes and streams running through the course, it adds to the beauty and also adds a lot of danger to crooked shots.
